Join Nimble Craft and renowned local artist Dave Perillo for "Put a Stencil On It!" during a Wednesday "Dining Under The Stars" evening on State Street in Media, PA.
You'll dive into the creative process with Nimble Craft, decorating your own 4"x4" canvas using various fun mark-making techniques. Once your masterpiece has taken shape, local legend Dave Perillo will step in to truly elevate it! Choose from four iconic stencil images designed by Dave – the Philly Phanatic, Gritty, a classic Popsicle, or a tasty Pizza – and watch as Dave spray-paints his signature design onto your canvas.
This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with two local artists and create something truly special. You can hang out and watch Dave work his magic, or grab some delicious dinner from Dining Under The Stars and come back to pick up your completed, one-of-a-kind art piece.
**Limited spots are available for pre-registration online, so snag yours before they're gone!** We'll also have a limited number of walk-up spots available on a first-come, first-served basis, only while supplies last. Don't miss out on this kitschy, cool, creative collaboration!
**Bonus!** While you're there, be sure to visit the Nimble Craft studio upstairs, where we'll be hosting a special **pop-up shop featuring Dave Perillo's original pieces** – available for one night only!
A lil' bit about my guest artist: Dave Perillo
I'm a freelance Illustrator and designer based out of the Philly burbs. In 1st grade, I revealed in my autobiography Me Book that I wanted to be the cartoon character Ziggy. I also wanted to be an artist. With the help of an Ed Emberly drawing book, hours of cartoons and a “healthy” diet of sugary cereals, I doodled my way through school on to college to study graphic design. Taking classes like typography and color theory helped make me a better illustrator. My retro art style developed from my love of the mid-century modern aesthetic. I'm inspired by Walt Disney, Mary Blair, Charles Schultz, Jim Flora, Ray Harryhausen, Roy Lichtenstein, Jim Henson, Hanna Barbera, 1950’s Sci-Fi Movies, TheTwilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock and character advertising icons. As a kid I always drew what I liked. I still get to do that today. I feel very fortunate to have a career I love. And...if things don't work out in the art world - I could still be Ziggy!
