Plein Air Sketching in the Gardens with Emily Bi

Immerse yourself in a morning of outdoor creativity surrounded by the breathtaking gardens of Ginkgo Footprints in the charming village of Annan. Guided by artist and gardener Emily Bi, participants will sketch amidst more than 350 varieties of peonies, thousands of perennials, and a diverse collection of native plants. The gardens, alive with birds and butterflies, provide a rich source of inspiration for capturing the beauty of nature on paper.

Emily will share tips and techniques for sketching en plein air, helping you observe and translate the forms, textures, and colours around you. Whether you’re an experienced sketcher or simply curious to try, this workshop offers a relaxed environment to explore line, composition, and expressive mark-making.
