Experience great songs in their most intimate and natural setting at the Song Dog music series!
In July I’ll be joined by multi-instrumentalist Andy Rogers (dobro, banjo, guitar) and Steve Auburn (fiddle, mandolin, guitar). This is the “dream team” acoustic trio that played with me on my live acoustic album “The Oak Tree and the W**d”. Reunited for the first time since that recording, we will be playing songs from that album as well as new stuff, old stuff, and whatever strikes our fancy. Getting to play with these two studs is like wrapping a warm blanket around my soul.
The Song Dog concert series happens every first Tuesday of the month in the Augustus (music venue attached to the Local Yocal BBQ and Grill) in McKinney. Past guests include Tracy Byrd, Radney Foster, Deryl Dodd, Cleto Cordero of Flatland Cavalry, Stoney Larue, Mike Ryan, and many more. Get the best seats by reserving in advance, especially because some shows do sell out.
Doors open at 6 PM
Ticket price for the first three rows includes a meal at 6:15 which you can eat at your seat.
Music begins at 7 PM
Show is generally over by 9 PM
