What is CLC?
Community Lifeline Center is a nonprofit based in McKinney, providing essential crisis assistance to Collin County residents. When families face unexpected emergenciesβjob loss, medical bills, or rising living costsβCLC is here to help keep them housed, safe, and fed.
Homelessness Diversion Services Include:
π Emergency Rent Assistance
π‘ Emergency Utility Assistance
π¨ Grocery Store Style Food Pantry
In just the past year, CLC has provided $60,000 in rental assistance and $285,000 in emergency aid to local families. But the need is outpacing the resources. Currently, only 27% of applications for assistance are approved due to funding limitations.
π¨ RECORD-BREAKING NEED IN 2025
In May 2025, we served 2,735 families in our Food Pantryβa 32% increase over last year:
β
225 families served in a single day (May 14 β our BIGGEST DAY ever)
β
701 families served in a single week (May 4β10 β our BIGGEST WEEK ever)
A recent $9 million cut in USDA funding has worsened food insecurity in North Texas. We urgently need support to keep our shelves stocked and our services running.
π Now, more than ever, we need your help.
Come see how your support makes a difference. Learn more about our mission. Tour the newly renovated pantry. Together, we can be part of the solution.
