Join award-winning professional artist Robin Maria Pedrero for an inspiring hands-on pastel workshop where you’ll explore the magic of mixed techniques to bring a nature scene to life. In this class, students will begin with an alcohol wash underpainting to establish dynamic shapes and textures, then layer rich, luminous soft pastels to create a vibrant composition of birds and branches.

Through Robin’s guidance, you’ll learn:
• How to apply an alcohol wash to set the tone and mood
• Techniques for layering dry pastel over a textured base
• How to build depth, detail, and atmosphere in nature-based compositions
• Tips for rendering birds, branches, and foliage with expressive mark-making
