Lines Between the Words: A Mindful Art Practice with Black-Out Poetry & Neurographica

Slow down, breathe deep, and reconnect with your inner landscape a creative mindfulness workshop rooted in both neuroscience and self-expression. This practice combines black-out poetry—a method of intuitive word selection from found text—with Neurographica, a science-based art technique developed by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev. Research shows that the flowing, repetitive lines of Neurographica can help reduce stress, create new neural pathways, and support emotional regulation. As you reveal a hidden poem and draw organically, you’ll enter a calm, meditative state that gently bridges subconscious thought and conscious awareness. No prior art or writing experience is needed—just a willingness to explore what emerges when words and lines become tools for insight, healing, and play.

No experience required and supplies are included.
