Marlborough Town Council and the Royal British Legion will be commemorating this occasion with a cry by the Town Crier on the Town Hall steps at 9am on Friday, 15 August

St Mary's Church will be open for prayers and reflection from 11am and members of the Council invite you to join them on the Town Hall steps for the national two-minute silence at 12 noon.

The Union flag will be raised on the Town Hall from Monday 11 August and will remain there for the whole week marking the end of the Second World War.

The Town Hall will be illuminated in white light on the evening of 15 August in line with other government buildings
