NEW Beginners' Swing Dance Block (Last of 2025)

LAST CHANCE to start Lindy Hop this year!

A new block of Beginner Lindy Hop classes starts on August 27th with South West Swing (local swing dance not-for-profit). No experience required - anyone is welcome to come along and have a go (including those amongst us with 2 left feet 😉).

If you've been hanging on to give it a go or jump back in, now's your last chance this year.

Lindy Hop is an awesome way to try something new, stay active during the cooler months ❄, meet people, and connect to something musical 🎷. Lindy Hop is the OG swing dance! It was born in Harlem New York in African American communities as the club dance of the time done to jazz and swing music. It was all about having fun with the music and person you're dancing with - it was an act of expression and rebellion at the time.

Your teachers: Lindsey and Aurelien! Lindsey and Aurelien will take you through all the essential lindy hop moves so you can get up and onto the dance floor for some confident boogies. We'll cover lindy hop and Charleston across the 10 weeks before you move into Level 2.

Where: Cowaramup District Club
When: Starts Wednesday 18th June
Time: 6pm (come 10-15 min early to check-in)
$120 for all ten weeks
$15 casual drop in

What to bring: yourself, a water bottle, flat close toed shoes.
