Augusta Centennial Hall stands on the traditional lands of the Wadandi People.
Beautiful Augusta, where two oceans meet, is as far south-west as one can go in Australia. The Centennial Hall is an integral part of Augusta citizens’ celebratory life events, a place for creative pursuits of music, dance, art and craft, or on the more physical side, a location for exercise and gardening.
Augusta is a small town on the banks of the Blackwood River, a short drive from Australia’s tallest lighthouse at Cape Leeuwin. It is a popular holiday destination in summer, focusing on camping and water based activities. However, in winter it is a perfect location to see whales in Flinders Bay and spectacular wildflowers in adjacent Karri Marri Forests. Coffee shops abound in town, at the river mouth where the Colour Patch Cafe is recognised as “the last eating house before Antarctica”, and also at the Leeuwin Lighthouse.
Festival of Small Halls returns to Augusta on Wednesday, 27 August 2025 with Charlie A'Court and Emily Barker.
