Join us for a practical 1.5 hour workshop to create a frog bog habitat garden - a mini ecosystem to help frogs thrive in urban spaces.
As Kermit said, ‘it’s not easy being green’, especially when you're a frog living in one of the most ecologically diverse yet threatened places on the planet! Their remaining habitat is under pressure, but by making wildlife-friendly gardens with frog bogs, we can create miniature ecosystems that offer natural food, water & shelter. Making a beautiful oasis is a win-win for your household too; hours of frog-watching fun!
Who: Suitable for all frog-curious folks over the age of 6 years. Please ensure any children are accompanied by adults with tickets!
Where: the farm shop @ Margaret River Organic Farmer, 2188 Jindong Treeton Rd, Rosa Brook, WA 6285
When: Sunday 31 August from 2-3:30pm. Please arrive in good time for a 2pm kick-off, rain or shine!
What: please bring your rain-wear & boots, gardening gloves if you'd like to pitch in & get your hands dirty (optional, you can just watch!), & a water bottle. Ticket includes a complimentary cup of organic leaf tea for the adults, after the workshop.
Why: At Margaret River Organic Farmer, we’re supporting frog habitat at a diversity of scales - from a wetland along the farm's Margaret River tributary, to a wildlife-friendly garden at our farm shop. And we want to encourage our community to contribute to frog conservation in your backyards too!
Tickets: Adults $25, Children over 6 years old (to be accompanied by adult) $10 plus booking fee. Limited tickets via Humanitix
