Join the City of Maple Valley for our annual Independence Day Celebration, presented by Edward Jones! This family-friendly event promises an evening filled with entertainment, activities, and a spectacular fireworks display.

🎶 Live Music & Entertainment: Enjoy performances throughout the evening, culminating in a dazzling fireworks show accompanied by the Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra. The Maple Valley Jr. Idol Winner will deliver a special National Anthem performance.

🏸Family Fun & Games: Participate in classic games and activities led by City of Maple Valley staff - suitable for all ages!
🥧Homemade Pie Baking Contest: Show off your baking skills in our annual fruit pie contest, hosted by Val Paganelli of Edward Jones. Pre-registration is required, and recipes must be submitted by Monday, June 30. Please note that only fruit pies are accepted. For more details and to register, visit the website!
🍔Food Trucks & Concessions: Savor a variety of delicious offerings from local food trucks and our beach concession stand.
🎆Fireworks Display: Cap off the evening with a spectacular fireworks show. The best viewing area is the Beach Lawn — don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets!
🚗 Limited On-Site Parking: Parking at Lake Wilderness Park is limited. We encourage carpooling and using the additional free parking available at Lake Wilderness Elementary School. There will also be temporary parking at Patrick’s field, accessed near the Lake Wilderness Boat Launch.
🛑 Safety & Important Notices:
Prohibited Items: No alcohol or personal fireworks (including sparklers) are allowed.
Boat Restrictions: Boats will not be permitted on Lake Wilderness during the fireworks display.
Road Closures: Expect temporary closures around the park exit, specifically at the intersections of SE 248th St & Witte Road and SE 248th St & Lake Wilderness Drive, starting at approximately 10:15 p.m. Please follow all posted signs and directions.
