Bike Challenge & Bike Safety Rodeo

Maple Valley Parks & Rec and the Tahoma Mountain Bike Team are proud to announce the 2025 Bike Challenge on Saturday, June 21 at Lake Wilderness Park!

Racers ages 6-12 are encouraged to race for the fastest time in their age and gender division. Award medals will be given to the top three finishers with pictures on our award podium. Register by June 6 to receive a special Bike Challenge race t-shirt.

A $10 registration fee will be charged this year and registration must take place online through the Parks & Rec website: www.maplevalleywa.gov/bikechallenge

The Maple Valley Police Department along with Bicycle Rescue for Youth will also be at the Park helping create a fun and safe learning environment for new young riders to develop rider safety skills.

They will learn how to signal with their hands while also going along a small track with officers learning skills when it comes to obstacles, stop lights and pedestrians.
