Come join us underneath Grandmother tree for the 1st time this year for Spiritual Service on Sunday, June 8th at 10 a.m.
After much accumulation of a year’s worth of stress caused by relentless calendars that are always chock full of commitments, and obligations and overcrowded, polluted environments filled with negative talk. Perhaps joining us under the magical and healing properties of Grandmother Tree will help you find what your soul deeply longs for- SERENITY!I
I was given a book called “ Forest Bathing” and it was written by Hector Garcia and Francesco Miralles who wrote about the Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life was Forest Bathing. While we won’t be in the forest, we will be sitting underneath Grandmother tree and sitting next to our own personal little forest of HIC.
The Japanese call sitting with a tree “ shinrin-yoku’ literally translated means “Forest Bathing”. One of the conclusions in the book from the Okinawa’s Village in Japan where centenaries live, was that to live surrounded by nature was key to understanding the secret of their peacefulness and longevity. Invite a friend and bring lawn chairs as we gathering around the tree outdoors near our own little forest at HIC. This is why we purchased this property because it had a forest that would bath our property with healing and loving light.
Having worship and spending our days, weeks and months surrounded by concrete blocks, separates us from the natural flow of “Chi” which means energy. We will have song, poetry, and energy healers and mother nature offering us a connection to the best medicine that nature can offer. An old Chinese proverb says: “Keep a green tree in your heart, and perhaps the singing bird will come.”
We welcome everyone at HIC for unique ways to honor GOD! Please join us on the lawn where the sermon/topic will be on “Forest Bathing” June 8th, Sunday at 10:00am. In July it will be on “Forest Therapy”.
Rev. Bob will be doing the music; Rev. Melissa Ketchum will be doing Reki Communion and Conversation Time with Rev. Hope.
It is always a joy to see new people!
We look forward to gathering with you!
ALL are welcome to join in on this celebration! 🤍
Many blessings to you all!
