The 1894 Kent Murder took place in Mandan, but lead the law all over the globe in their pursuit of one man with many names.

The Mandan Historical Society will attempt to untangle this tangled web of a TRUE, local, notorious, historical crime story.

Using historical documents, photos, and accounts, what will we uncover about one of the areas most colorful (and criminal) characters? What is the truth behind the mysterious death of Julia Laird Kent?

Adults and teens welcome! Those participating in the Summer Reading Program can use this event towards one of their activity badges.
