🏞️ Scafell Pike via Moses Trod & Corridor Route
The highest peak in England, Scafell Pike, is a must-climb for many walkers—and we’re heading there via the stunning geology of Moses Trod and Corridor Route. Our adventure begins in the beautiful and remote Wasdale, so please allow extra travel time to reach the meeting point.
Like all Blackdog Outdoors events, this walk is open to anyone interested in exploring the outdoors—whether you're reconnecting with nature, building confidence, or simply enjoying good company in beautiful surroundings.

The Plan
• Start: Meet in Wasdale (exact details sent upon booking)
• Warm-up: Follow the scenic valley to Moses Trod
• Snack stop: Relax at Styhead Tarn—great spot for a break 🥪
• Main ascent: Head along the Corridor Route—expect scramble sections and some exposed, exhilarating terrain
• Summit: Reach the top of Scafell Pike via Lingmell Col
• Descent: Return down the popular Hollow Stones route back to the car park
Terrain & Support
• Mixed terrain: well-defined paths, rocky scrambles, a few exposed sections
• Leaders will support you through trickier parts
• If it’s wet, we’ll choose an appropriate alternate descent or ascent route
Distance & Duration
• Approx. 13 km
• Approx. 1,000 m ascent
• Expect around 7 hours on your feet (including breaks)
What to bring
• Sturdy walking boots, layers (weather can change fast), waterproof jacket
• Packed lunch + snacks, water, gloves/headwear
• Camera for summit snaps!
Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must remain on a lead throughout the hike.
