🧗♀️ FREE Rock Climbing Taster Day – Lawrencefield Quarry, Peak District
Join us for a day of outdoor climbing at the serene and sheltered Lawrencefield Quarry, nestled in the heart of the Peak District. Known to climbers for over sixty years, this hidden gem—also referred to as Laurencefield on some maps—offers a variety of routes suitable for all skill levels.
As you climb, you'll notice old and abandoned millstones scattered around—a lasting memory of the quarry's history. At the top, take in the breathtaking views across the valley into Hathersage and beyond.
Our sessions are conducted on "Top Ropes," ensuring you remain safely secured to the crag throughout the day. All necessary equipment will be provided, and the event will be supported by qualified instructors and Mental Health First Aiders.
