Two headliners in one show!
Billy King: As a seasoned performer, songwriter, and recording artist, Billy King's presence in the independent music scene brings an original blend of rootsy folk/pop with an occasional touch of country swing.
Billy’s versatility as a multi-genre singer-songwriter is matched by his ability on a wide range of instruments from guitar and banjo to keyboards and accordion. Traversing intimate acoustic venues, major festival stages, and popular rural gatherings, he performs with lightness, dynamism, and sincerity.
Influenced by master songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon, Billy crafts melodically compelling songs that maintain a sense of the timeless and classic. Sometimes catchy folk/rock, sometimes searing blues, but always direct and thoughtful lyrics - this is original music from an original life, fully accomplished yet humble, and most of all real.
Eric Moore: Eric is a midwestern kind of guy. A product of southwestern PA, he's called Michigan home for 20+ years... but he still thinks they talk funny here (not like in Pittsburgh). He played acoustic guitar exclusively for 25 years but finally - he forgave Jimmy Page for ripping off Bert Jansch. And Eric plugged in, and it was a joyful racket thusly produced. Now, with Eric Moore, the acoustic fingerstyle dude shares stage time with rock band GuyTalk. He’s happy to give his ears a break for an evening and connect on a quieter level and share his stories of life, love & community. Eric has been on lots of the quality stages in the area: the Village Tap, The Ark, Hollerfest, and Ann Arbor Summerfest’s Top of the Park. When he’s not “doinkin” on a guitar he can usually be found in the kitchen baking, or painting a house, on his bike, or on the XC ski trail with his dog.
