Takeda

Takeda is a superb genre-blurring guitar-based folk rock band. They create the immersive and emotionally charged sonic landscapes of Grizzly Bear and Big Thief, and combine them with the compelling, delicate lyricism and textures of Nick Drake.

They formed in 2022 when Josh Harrison escaped a cult in rural England and started a band inspired by his experiences. Growing up in a cult became the fertile soil for sprouting a unique brand of music that fuses the melodic and emotional sensibility of folk with the noise and fuzzed guitar tones of grunge.
