James Allsopp Quartet plays Stan Getz

Stan Getz is probably best known to non-jazz buffs for his stunning album 'Getz/Gilberto', which we showcased with Mario Bakuna back in April, but he was much more than that, with a career that spanned decades and genres, taking in both hardcore bebop and cool jazz.

This show explores Stan’s legacy in more depth, in the company of master saxophonist James Allsopp and some of London’s most in-demand musicians. Expect lush ballads, swinging standards, motoring bop compositions and some of those famously lilting bossa novas.
