Edmund Blackadder must make his way in Tudor society, hampered only by his useless friend Lord Percy, his dimwitted servant Baldrick and a Queen who likes chopping heads off. Can he marry a girl called Bob, survive being Lord High Executioner and out-sail Sir Walter 'Ooh what a big ship I've got' Raleigh? If not, Baldrick is certain to have a cunning plan to help!
