FREE Permaculture & Wildlife Open Day At Earthworm Housing Coop,
Sunday 12th July 10am-5pm:
This is a joint event between
* Earthworm Housing Coop
* Leintwardine Wildlife Group
* The Shropshire and Edges Permaculture Network (SEPnet)
See Permaculture in practice on the land; including tours, skill shares and opportunities to meet others who are interested
Alongside join the Leintwardine Wildlife Group 'Biobitz', which involves trying to identify as many species of plants and animals as we can in one day on the land at Wheatstone house; including moth trapping, bird identification, wildflower surveys and pond dipping.
There will be Tea & Cake for sale all day.
Plus if you plane to be with us a while there is a 'bring & share lunch' 1-2pm all welcome

Here is the full programme for the day
ALL DAY:
Members of Leintwardine Wildlife Group will be on site throughout the day conducting a 'bioblitz'. This involves trying to identify as many species of plants and animals as we can in one day. Everyone welcome to join in!
There will be moth trapping, bird identification, wildflower surveys and pond dipping. We will also be bringing a microscope to see what is in the pond!
This is a great opportunity to come along and meet members of the group and find out what they are up to around the village and also answer any nature questions you might have.
TIMED ACTIVITIES
10-11 Tour of the land/ Tour of the buildings
11-12 Repeat of tours for those who want to see both of them
12-1 optional scything, fruit picking, sorting, preserving …
1-2 Bring & Share Lunch
2-3 (at least) Big circle: what is everyone doing in the local area?
3.30 -5.30 skill and knowledge share:
* Peening demonstration - bring your battered scythe blades!
* “Not just a reedbed!”: WET systems explained
