Hosted by: Lubbock County Emergency Management, Sheriff’s Mobile Operations Team, West Texas Pathfinders, SPARC Taskforce, ARES, and RACES
Field Day is amateur radio’s open house—bringing together radio operators across North America to demonstrate science, skill, and service. It’s part emergency preparedness drill, part public outreach event, and part contest... but most of all, it’s a hands-on learning opportunity for hams and volunteers at all levels.
Join us at the Lubbock County Emergency Operations Center for 24 hours of continuous radio operations, emergency communications demonstrations, and community-building.

12:00 PM Saturday: Lunch – Burgers & Brats Provided
1:00 PM Saturday: Radio Orientation Class (great for new ops)
2:00 PM Saturday: Introduction of the SPARC TaskForce
3:00 PM – 3:00 PM Sunday: Field Operations (HF/VHF/UHF)
6:00 PM Saturday: Dinner Provided
12:00 PM Sunday: Lunch & Wind-down

We will formally introduce SPARC TaskForce, our new volunteer emergency communications team, during a brief presentation after lunch Saturday. Learn how you can get involved in real-world comms support and training.
This event is open to all hams, GMRS operators, emergency volunteers, and members of the public interested in learning more about radio and preparedness. No license required to participate—we’ll help you get on the air!
