These Wheel of the Year circles are celebrations of the seasonal changes, where we honour what is happening around us in Nature.
When we engage with these potent cyclical gateways we reconnect with nature and our place within the whole. When we honour the rhythms of Nature we honour the rhythms within ourselves. It’s a beautiful way to deep dive beneath the frantic, endless pace of survival and striving and take a deep pause to re-set.
Litha, also known as the Summer Solstice marks the longest day of the year in the Northern hemisphere as the sun ‘stands still’. It also heralds an important transition point on the Wheel of the Year, marking the time when the seeds have been sown and begin to grow in abundance until Lammas, the celebration of the first harvest, at the beginning of August. Litha is typically a bright and exciting celebration. It celebrates the growing crops, the Sun, abundance, and the first day of Summer!
This is a good time to align yourself with the powerful energies of the sun and summertime. As we honour the life-giving nature of the Sun, we honour the light within ourselves. Everything is growing and expanding and now is the time to expand your ideas, goals or desires.
Weaving ritual, meditation and journalling we will get clear on what we wish to bring into our life, then comes a bit of magical craftwork as we create our own crystal sun catchers to take home and capture the light of the season. As we then settle into a sound bath, various sounds and frequencies are introduced in succession bathing you (and your wishes) in resonance.
I love creating these Wheel of the Year celebrations. We gather in a more intimate circle than the community sound baths, offering the opportunity to go deeper. This Summer Solstice offers so much potent energy for us – the perfect time to find inner stillness in the midst of activity, light, celebration and change.
