Blissful Hour for the Summer Solstice (Havala)

Mind and body need extra support after a long week? This class is a combination of Yin and Yoga Nidra, followed by tea and cookies, and is intended to help you unwind, rest, recenter, and emerge refreshed and ready for the weekend.

In Yin Yoga, we remain on the floor (or in a chair), allowing longer, passive holds to work gently but deeply into the body’s connective tissues. We allow time and gravity to do most of the work, releasing all effort and tuning in to our body’s innate wisdom. In Yoga Nidra, or “yogic sleep”, we allow conscious thought and effort to fall away temporarily as we relax deeply and fully.
