Yutaka Suzuki, 20, is a violinist and vocalist who graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts Junior Academy and the Tokyo Metropolitan Senior High School of the Arts. A passionate performer in both voice and violin, he was a finalist in the Japan Classical Music Competition in both categories. He is currently studying violin under Professor Ken Aiso at La Sierra University, and continues his training privately with Dr. Moni Simeonov and Takako Yamazaki.
Yutaka has performed in violin masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Natsumi Tamai, Lana T. Johns, and Glenn Dicterow, and has also participated in a vocal masterclass with Russell Thomas. In 2024, he performed the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the La Sierra University Orchestra after winning the university’s All-Star Competition. During the summer, he toured Portugal with Dr. Ariel Quintana’s vocal ensemble, where he performed both as a violinist and a singer alongside his peers. He also gave a solo recital at La Sierra University at the end of the same year.
In 2025, Yutaka was awarded 3rd place in the MIMA Young Artist Competition.
Currently enrolled in La Sierra University’s ESL program, Yutaka is preparing to enter the bachelor’s program in violin performance next fall. Outside of classical music, he composes and produces music under the name Kani Yutaka, creating original soundtracks and songs.
Yutaka is deeply grateful to all the mentors and instructors who have supported his journey. He would like to extend special thanks to Ken Aiso, Moni Simeonov, Takako Yamazaki, Ariel Quintana, Raejin Lee, and Valeria Morgovskaya who have supported him in his musical journey.
