Wallis Annenberg PetSpace Animal Career Camp

Geared toward young animal lovers who want to explore the abundance of careeer paths in the field of animal care. From companion animal medicine, to equine and livestock opportunities, to working with wildlife and exotics, search and rescue animals, and more!

The modular curriculum explores a different animal care or husbandry discipline each day, with experience ranging from hands-on procedural practice to guest presentations from experts in the field. Please note: the listed agenda may change based on availability of demo and workshop participants.

Please note: This itinerary features hands-on practice with medical equipment, which may include: needles, scapels, fecal float medium (no handling of any actual biohazards), etc. It also offers the opportunity for observations of animals under anesthesia for procedures such as spay/neuter and dentals, which may be graphic for some campers (procedures dependent on medical team availability).

Camp sessions take place Monday-Friday from 9am-12pm. The recommended age range for campers is 12-16.

CANCELLATION POLICY

For cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the first day of camp, a 100% refund will be issued.

Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the first day of camp will receive a 50% refund.

Wallis Annenberg PetSpace reserves the right to cancel any program. In the event that a program is canceled, all program fees will be refunded.

COVID-19 Guidelines for Wallis Annenberg PetSpace

The safety of all our guest and staff is our number one priority. Wallis Annenberg PetSpace follows the guidelines and protocols set by the Los Angeles Department of Public Health and has implemented additional safety rules and regulations for any guests participating in our programs.

Please adhere to the following guidelines and processes outlined below:

Before coming to camp, parents should regularly check campers for following:

• Campers should be healthy

• Temperature is in normal range

• No cough or congestion

• There has been no recent contact with anyone that has a current confirmed positive COVID-19 test result.

Campers who test positive or show symptoms of any illness should not come to camp and stay home. We reserve the right to send campers home if they are showing signs of illness on a case-by-case basis.

We require vaccinations for all our staff and counselors.
