Mission to Japan with Love Vacation Bible School

Travel back in time to Japan learning about how people used to live and how much God loves each one of us.

This year we're doing something completely new! We're traveling back in time and far, far away, to the land of Japan. The kids will follow Captain Francisco, a Christian missionary, who sails to Japan in the 1600-1700s. They meet a fun loving old fisherman named Taro and two young sisters (Hana-chan and Naomi-chan) from the fishing village of Ise. On the journey the kids learn many valuable life lessons about Jesus' love and desire to have everyone in his kingdom.

This year the VBS, sponsored by the Mountain View Japanese church, will be held at our elementary school, Miramonte Christian School. Please join us for daily crafts, snacks, Bible adventure stories, and games.

Hours: M-F 9am-12pm; Sat 9:30am-12pm

What is VBS?

VBS stands for Vacation Bible School. It's where kids can learn about the Bible while they are on summer vacation! Typically, it is done in person at the Mountain View Japanese Seventh-day Adventist church, but this year we're holding it at our elementary school (address above).

Can children younger than 4 register?

The events are geard to kids 4-12. We do make exceptions if you have a child in htis age group and you want to attend a younger brother/sister. Email the director ahead of time to make sure we can accomodate you.

Can my child participate if they are older than 12?

We discourage this but if you have a specific need, please email the director with details at least one week ahead of time.

Can my child attend only some of the days/sessions?

Yes. This is pretty common. If you know the days ahead of time, we appreciate a heads-up.
