Join Us for Our June Queens Chapter Meeting!
We’re excited to host this month’s Queens Chapter meeting at SkyFarm! This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in the apiary, explore the urban farm, and connect with fellow beekeepers as we dive into seasonal hive management.
What’s on the Agenda?
• Hive Dive with Nick Hoefly (6:00–7:00 PM): Join Master Beekeeper Nick Hoefly of Astor Apiaries for a live hive inspection at SkyFarm. We’ll look inside the hives and talk through what’s happening in the colonies right now. Bring your own gear to participate. All participants must wear safety gear and sign a waiver to join the Hive Dive.
• Farm Tour with Alexa Curnette (7:00–7:30 PM): Take a guided tour of SkyFarm with Farm Manager Alexa Curnette and learn more about how the farm supports pollinators and the local community.
• Chapter Meeting & Q&A (7:30–8:30 PM): We’ll wrap up with our regular meeting and an open Q&A session focusing on current hive conditions and strategies for managing the nectar flow.
