Kids Day

Kids Day is coming up on Saturday, June 21st, and we’re excited to host another great event! 12 pm until interest winds down or 6 PM, whichever comes first.
Location: Field behind the LDS Chapel at 1550 N 400 E, Logan (near Lee’s).

We have several hands-on activities planned to introduce kids to the fun and science of Amateur Radio, including:
Sound and Radio Wave Demonstration – Learn about radio waves and propagation.

Antenna Exploration – We'll discuss various types of antennas, including their functionality, applications, and significance in radio communication.

Radio Direction Finding & Bunny Hunt – Kids can try their hand at locating a hidden radio transmitter ("the bunny") using radio direction-finding tools. A fun way to explore applied radio skills outdoors! A hunt for a prize will be held at 2:00 PM

Communication Challenge – Kids will work in teams using FRS radios to direct teammates in building a LEGO structure. A fun way to practice clear, concise radio communication.

Morse Code Demonstration – Learn about Morse Code and how it is still used in radio communication.

3rd Party Radio Contacts – Any kid who wants to can make a supervised radio contact.
