Rumijev sound je osnovan na houseu (whaat 🤯), a brez težav šiba tudi v disco, techno in break. Njegove sete prežemajo jazzovske nianse, soul vokali in afro-latino ritmi – zvoki njegovega otroštva v Buenos Airesu.
Vpliv Masters At Work in Kerri Chandlerja ga je usmeril v DJanje že med študijem na Floridi. Po selitvi na Dunaj je soustanovil A Party Called Jack in kasneje še queer kolektiv GAZE Vienna. Vodi tudi radijsko oddajo GEMS, ki gostuje na RES Radiu (Dunaj) in Refuge Worldwide (Berlin).
V Ljubljano prihaja teden dni pred zasluženim debijem v Panorama Baru, poleti pa ga na festivalu Paradies Garten čaka še B2B z Eris Drew. Ta ga šteje med svoje najljubše house DJ-je – enough said.
Drugi hrbet tega B2B predstavlja še en dunajski prvokategornik, JP Bechamel – selektor za vse ljubitelje lazanje in polnovrednih klubskih vibracij.
JP išče (in najde) muziko, ki sproža emocije, ne glede na žanr — naj bo to house, soul, synth pop, bossa, jazz ali disco. Njegov klubski izraz temelji na soundih Chicaga, New Yorka in Detroita iz 80ih in 90ih, v selekciji pa se začuti tudi njegova močna navezanost na jazz. 🎷
JP danes širi feeling na lokalnih radijskih valovih in kot rezident A Party Called Jack in Love-Fi, dunajskega house in garage kolektiva, ki je med drugim bookal Stello Zekri en dan pred njenim gigom v Monoklu.
Lokalno podporo bodo zagotavljali Spati, 93kb in Tamorra (tokrat z disco setom).

For our 10th celebration, we’re bringing you an extra special B2B session you don’t want to miss: Rumi de Baires and JP Bechamel – the cream of Vienna’s underground and residents of A Party Called Jack, a collective and event series that celebrates the roots of house music and has hosted legends like Robert Owens, Moodymann, Lakuti, Gabrielle Kwarteng, Suze Ijó, Mama Snake…

Rumi finds his musical homebase in house, but effortlessly navigates between disco, breaks, and techno as well. His DJ sets are infused with jazz nuances, soulful vocals, and Afro-Latin rhythms: the sounds of his childhood in Buenos Aires.
Inspired by the likes of Masters At Work and Kerri Chandler, Rumi started djing while studying in Florida. After moving to Vienna in 2016 he co-founded "A Party Called Jack" and later GAZE Vienna, an event and platform dedicated to amplifying the "queer gaze" within electronic music, visual arts, live performances, and fashion. He also does "GEMS", a radio show with contributions on RES radio (Vienna) and Refuge Worldwide (Berlin).
He’s coming to Ljubljana just one week before his well-earned Panorama Bar debut, and later this summer he’ll be playing a B2B set with Eris Drew at Paradies Garten Festival – enough said.
Backing up this B2B is JP Bechamel – another of Viennas finest and a selector for all lasagna lovers and seekers of rich club vibrations.
He is always on the lookout for any music that tickles his emotions. Be it soul, synth pop, bossa, jazz, disco, it doesn’t matter, all that matters is the mood that emanates from the music.
In the club, JP's sound is heavily influenced by the early Chicago, New York and Detroit dance music scene of the 80s and 90s but you can taste his strong affiliation with jazz in his sound as well.
Well rooted in the Viennese house community, find JP spreading the feeling on local radio stations and as a resident of the collectives A Party Called Jack and Love-Fi, house and garage collective thay also booked Stella Zekri one day before she played in Monokel.
