Na samostojni razstavi 𝑪̌𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒏𝒊 𝒌𝒓𝒐𝒈 Lene Lekše, v Galeriji Škuc med 8. 8. in 19. 9. 2025, se obiskovalke_ potopijo v vrtinec časa in spomina, ki ga sproža zgodba Emme Sharp. Ženske, ki je v 19. stoletju pritegnila pozornost javnosti in medijev s svojim načrtom prehoditi 1.000 milj v 1.000 urah. Sodobna umetnica Lene Lekše v 𝑪̌𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒎 𝒌𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒖 preplete animacijo, instalacijo in arhivski material, obenem pa odpira vprašanja časa, telesa in rituala. Zgodovinska vsebina se prevede v izkušnjo sodobne umetnosti, kjer Sharp ne samo hodi, temveč s hojo tudi prestopa družbene norme. Razstava bo na ogled 43 dni, torej toliko, kolikor je trajal podvig Emme Sharp. Gre za razmislek o času kot izkušnji; ne-linearnem, temveč krožnem in o hoji kot introspektivni in politični.

In Lene Lekše's solo exhibition 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝑳𝒂𝒑, on view at Škuc Gallery from 8 August to 19 September 2025, visitors are immersed in a whirlwind of time and memory, triggered by the story of Emma Sharp – the 19th-century woman who captured the attention of the public and the media with her plan to walk 1,000 miles in 1,000 hours. In 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝑳𝒂𝒑, contemporary artist Lene Lekše interweaves animation, installation and archival material, while raising questions of time, the body and ritual. Historical content is translated into a contemporary art experience where Sharp not only walks but also surpasses social norms by walking. The exhibition will be on view for 43 days, the duration of Emma Sharp's feat. It is a reflection on time as experience; non-linear but circular, and on walking as introspective and political.
