The world's largest rubber duck, which once enjoyed a visit to Pittsburgh, will be calling Idlewild home for a weekend, so we've scheduled a pop-up event to celebrate! Join us for the ACE Idlewild Neighborhood Picnic. There is no catered meal and no advance payment required, but there is a reserved pavilion, (C-8), where ACE Western Pennsylvania will offer some complimentary (and simple) snacks and members are welcome to bring their own picnic as well!
THERE WILL BE ERT! The park is graciously providing and hour ERT from 10 to 11 a.m. on Rollo Coaster, Wild Mouse and Flying Aces (Wild Mouse is currently down as it awaits an updated control system, but the park hopes that it will be operating in time for our visit). Stay tuned for additional instructions about entering the park early.
To enter the park early for ERT, a valid membership card must be presented along with a pre-purchased admission ticket or a valid season pass. Non-member guests are welcome but must be accompanied in the same vehicle by a card-carrying member.
In addition there will be a few ITOTs (Informal TakeOver Times), including a trip around the trolly in Daniel Tigers Neighborhood.
DISCOUNTED ADVANCE PURCHASE ADMISSION OF ONLY $32.99 (inclusive of processing fees and taxes) is available for members and their guests. Information with instruction on how to purchase will be emailed to members who are on the ACE Western Pennsylvania email list.
This is an informal event with no on-site registration required. There will (eventually) be a link provided to RSVP, so indicate "Going" or "Interested" on this event page to keep up with the latest news and when that link is available.
