Live music and plentiful lunch options return to downtown Libertyville’s Cook Park on Friday, June 20th
at MainStreet Libertyville’s Lunch in the Park. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to downtown Libertyville’s picturesque Cook Park on June 20th, July 11th, and August 15th to enjoy live music and food vendors in a casual, relaxing atmosphere.
From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., plan to enjoy your lunch in the park from a variety of local eateries and vendors including Clucker’s Charcoal Chicken, Coppolillo’s Italian Steakhouse, La Mera Mera Taqueria, Magic Crepes, Mama Mia Pizza (July 11 only), Pizzeria Deville, Sweet Home Gelato, Tacos El Tio #8, and Up in Smoke Creations.
This year’s dining options include chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, salads, sweet and savory crepes, calzones (July 11 only), Italian-style sandwiches with meatballs or sausage and peppers, pizza, brisket, pulled pork, tacos, burritos, tortas, gelato, and other desserts.
Whether you are meeting friends or simply spending your lunch hour outdoors on a Friday, Lunch in the Park offers an ideal way to spend a summer afternoon with good food and live music.
Lunch in the Park will feature the following local entertainment in the plaza just outside of the historic Ansel B. Cook Home in Cook Park:
• June 20 – Cole Brandt
• July 11 – Chris Minardi
• August 15 – The Good Time Band
This year’s event series will also feature a variety of children’s entertainment and activities each week.
Free, four-hour parking is available in the covered parking garages on Lake Street and on Church Street. Or take the train – the Metra station is in the heart of downtown Libertyville near the shops and restaurants. Be sure to visit the shops or take a leisurely stroll through downtown Libertyville before or after the event. Downtown Libertyville is home to more than 30 unique shops and 20 dining experiences.
