SRP Wednesday: Ohio Nature Education

The itinerary this week is animal coloration fun.

Manon VanSchoyck ("Mrs. Van") brings animal ambassadors and Ohio Nature Education's Young Artist program to the library.

We'll be examining the role of coloration of wildlife in nature – how do camouflage, mimicry, and aposematism benefit different animal species in nature?

Attendees will have the opportunity to draw or paint the animals during the program.

Make and take crafts will also be available.

All ages welcome.


Mrs. Van is the Founder and Executive Director of Ohio Nature Education. She has more than 30 years of experience in the field of environmental education and is passionate about educating people on ways to positively affect wildlife.


This program funded in part through a federal Institute of Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
