In honor of Lexington’s 250th birthday and the citywide celebration of "Come Home" month, LexArts is thrilled to announce a special edition of the LexArts HOP on Thursday, June 20th, in partnership with 250LEX.
From 5–8 PM, more than 20 galleries, studios, and creative spaces throughout Lexington will open their doors to the public, showcasing stunning work from local artists. The LexArts HOP offers a FREE, self-guided tour of Lexington’s thriving arts scene, making it the perfect opportunity to reconnect with your hometown—or discover it for the first time.
What to Expect:
•Kickoff HOP at Proof Garage with a special installation by the I Was Here project.
•Explore over 20 HOP sites featuring vibrant local artwork.
•Enjoy complimentary drinks and bites at select locations.
•Engage in interactive art activities added just for this special HOP, thanks to our friends at 250LEX.
•Listen to live local musicians as you wander from gallery to gallery and soak in the city’s creative energy.
Cap off your evening with an unforgettable Arty Party!
Immediately following the HOP, join us at LexArts (161 N Mill Street) for a ticketed event: Songwriters and Storytellers: A Bluebird Café Experience
Hosted by Jim Richardson, this intimate evening of music and storytelling features local songwriters sharing the songs—and the stories—behind their work.
