BurLEX Student Showcase - All Intro'ers!

General admission tickets will still be available for purchase at the door the day of the event as well as online pre-sale. All seating is pre-purchased required.

The students will be performing burlesque routines that they have created, from costuming to choreography, under the guidance of their beginner burlesque course from Träshique.For one night only, we are celebrating the achievements of the Spring/Summer Intro class!

For many, it will be their first time in front of an audience, SO BRING YOUR LOUDEST CHEERS!

All proceeds go to benefit the BurLEX organization in support of purchasing specialized studio space to host classes in as well as providing professional quality photo and video for the students.

Each student will have given their all in over eight weeks of classes learning to tease, twirl, and tantalize in all manners and varieties of ways. From now until the show, they will be continuing their education leading up to this exclusive and intimate glimpse into their studies.

BurLEX(ington) was founded and is operated by Kayti/Träshique—a collaborative community collective rooted in the art of burlesque in Lexington, Kentucky. Queer, revered, and widely feared, Träshique is a force of nature with a knack for a little bit of everything. A touring sideshow professional, burlesque performer, and award-winning variety artist, they own and perform with Tinderbox Circus Sideshow, serve as the Entertainment Coordinator for Lex Lez Night, and proudly claim the title of BurLEX’s chaotic and loving mastermind. They will be representing BurLEX at the North Star Nerdlesque Festival in July 2025 in Minnesota and in the Australian Burlesque Festival in Sydney in October of 2025.

With over 15 years of experience producing, performing, and hitting the road, Träshique is no stranger to the stage—or the spectacle. They also helm International Entertainment Management for the nationally acclaimed Oddities & Curiosities Expo, providing a platform for self-employed artists across all genres. When they’re not wielding grinders, fire, or a well-timed tease, you’ll find them lending their voice to the dark carnival sounds of Lexington’s own Caravan Discordia.

OUR MISSION:Bringing our community together on a local & regional level through burlesque & adjacent art forms. To teach empowerment, intentionality, and consent to our students, audiences, and local community through partnerships that communicate this tone. Creating bonds and pathways between the region to elevate the art of burlesque and support our regional established groups and performers.
