Annual Picnic (BYO)

Join us for our annual CKAS Pot Luck Picnic. We've reserved Picnic Area #1 near the dog run. It seats up to 50 and is handicap accessible.

Plan on dinner about 6:30pm. Burgers (regular and vegan) will be provided for all those who RSVP to UHJlc2lkZW50IHwgQ0tBUyAhIG9yZw==. Please specify vegan/meat/both burger preference. BYOB (sorry: no alcohol in city parks) and a dish/dessert to share.

Expect a short post-dinner meeting with nominations/elections, then an evening bird walk where we'll check on the bluebird and kestrel boxes we put up several years back. There's an outside chance we'll even bring a new bluebird house to put up.

Target Species: American Kestrel, Eastern Bluebird, Orchard Oriole, and Yellow Warbler.

Terrain: Easy. Roads and well-worn trails.

Pace: Slow to moderate.

Distance: Approximately 1.5 miles total.

Restrooms: Port-a-potty by dog park.
