LLELA Summer Lecture Series: Desert Ecology and its Influence on North Texas Heat

When people think of Texas weather, they often imagine a desert-like environment and are surprised by the humidity and rainfall of North Texas. Despite these differences, the southwestern deserts continue to have a significant impact on the meteorology and climatology of North Texas. Join the City of Lewisville’s Interpretive Park Ranger Addy France to learn about this fascinating aspect of the North Texas environment.

Interpretive Park Ranger Addy France, CIG, is the Interpretive Ranger at LLELA, and a former California State Parks Interpretive Aide and LLELA Environmental Educator. With a background rooted in both desert and prairie landscapes, Addy is dedicated to helping others see the wild world through curious, caring eyes.
