Of the 75,000 meteorites known worldwide, only about 60 have accurate pre-impact orbits—including the UK’s famous Winchcombe fall (2021) and New Zealand’s Tekapo meteorite (2024). Jim Rowe will explain how the UK Fireball Alliance and Fireballs Aotearoa are working to maximise the science from these spectacular events— and how you can get involved!
