Jess & Richard are traditional musicians & singers who specialise in English music & song. They perform as a duo using voices, melodeon & fiddle, as Arrowsmith:Robb Trio with Ian Robb, with ceilidh band Hekety & as concert band Melrose Quartet (with James Fagan & Nancy Kerr).
The workshop will cover multiple approaches to singing in harmony, from taught parts through to different methods for improvising your own harmony lines. Suitable for singers of all abilities & backgrounds. Teaching will be by ear but dots will be provided.

10:45 Registration & coffee; please order lunch at the bar (refreshments not included)
11:00 – 12:30 Warm-up & learn a couple of songs in parts (taught by ear, lyrics/dots provided)
12:30 – 13:30 Lunch
13:30 Constructing your own harmonies - explore two different starting points for improvisation.
15:15 Tea/coffee break
15.30 Recap - revisit the songs from earlier in the day and have a go at improvising with something new.
16:45 Finish
