Introduction and welcome

The Greenpeace International Exhibition in Lewes will run from 1st August 2025-10th August 2025 at the Star Brewery Gallery, Lewes celebrating nearly 50 years of Greenpeace connections with Lewes. We also take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr John May and other personnel from the original Greenpeace Office in Lewes, which was located at Temple House 25 & 26 High Street, Lewes, for arranging this Exhibition to remind us of the important contribution which the town of Lewes has made in the peaceful pursuit of Climate Justice. It was significant that the Lewes Greenpeace office was the Headquarters for Greenpeace International from 1982 until 1989, a very busy and turbulent time in the formation of Greenpeace International today.
