Wenatchee River Institute Bat Night with WA Dept. of Fish and Wildlife

Bats Northwest is heading to Eastern WA, for a wonderful family friendly Bat Educational event with the Wenatchee River Institute, WA Dept. Fish and Wildlife and Happy Valley Bats. Come join us in Leavenworth for a bat talk to learn all about bats, their importance, and what we can do to support these animals. The team will be highlight conservation actions you can take; from participating in community science, to making bat houses and improving bat habitat where you live.

Learn about how mist-nets are used by biologists to capture bats in the field, listen for bats with wildlife acoustic technology, learn about bat rescue and rehab, and much more! WDFW biologists will set up some demonstration research stations for participants to see the tools used for bat research. We are providing educational resources and activities.

NCW Woodshop, out of Cashmere will be at Bat Night to show off the Bat Boxes and how they work for bats.

No live Bats will be capture live bats this year due to the dangers of White Nose Syndrome to our local bats.

Age Limit: 8+ years old
Ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Registration for this event is through the Wenatchee River Institute, but cost is Pay What You Can.
