Underground Railroad Bus Tours

Part of the Lawrence Juneteenth Celebration: a popular bus tour developed by the Watkins Museum of History. Join us as we travel to historic sites in Lawrence and learn stories of heroism and tragedy from Lawrence’s early days as an important place in the Underground Railroad and the fight for a free Kansas.

We will board the buses on E. South Park Street next to South Park.

This tour involves three stops where we will walk and explore different sites. Those preferring to stay on the bus may do so.
