Shape Note Sing June 15, 2025 in Lawrence, KS

Join us for our monthly shape note sing, now on third Sundays monthly at Unity of Lawrence. This June, it falls on Sunday, June 15.

Newcomers are encouraged to come join us in this two century old tradition of a cappella harmony singing. Loaner books are available.
We sing from The Sacred Harp (Denson 1991 version), and the Missouri Harmony, 2005 edition. It is an informal group. We sing for the joy of singing - not performance. Small donations are accepted to cover use of the building.
Our location, Unity of Lawrence, is at 9th Street and Madeline Lane, about 0.4 mile west of Iowa St (US-59). There is plenty of parking.
Note that Covid is still a concern, so we ask you to be prudent. Please don't attend if you aren't feeling well or have tested positive for Covid within the past five days. This sing will be indoors, but in a fairly open space. If you have any factors that place you at a higher risk of contracting Covid, a mask is recommended.
