Three musicians. Three Saturdays. Three hours of live sound in a world of sculpted stillness.
Join us at the Art Gallery at Royal Park for Three Spotlights, a new FREE live performance program staged within the exhibition Sam Jinks || Mortal Reflections.
Across three Saturdays over three months, three acclaimed musicians will respond to Jinks’ hyperreal sculptures in an evolving, multisensory experience of art and sound.
You're invited to sit, listen, and reflect. You may even be inspired to write or draw a response as music fills the galleries.
Three Spotlights on Mortal Reflections performance dates:
▪️ Ian Chia (Keyboards): Saturday 9 August, 1pm-4pm
Ambient, neo-romantic tones that gently echo the emotional depth of Jinks’ sculptures.
▪️ Georgia Shine (Cello): Saturday 6 September, 1pm-4pm
Rich, resonant harmonies that ground the experience in a deep, contemplative mood.
▪️ Suzanne Turner (Violin): Saturday 11 October, 1pm-4pm
Expressive, lyrical melodies that weave through the space with warmth and intimacy.
Stay for ten minutes – or three hours – and be immersed in a space where visual art and music combine.
