Summer Smart Gardening with Gail Brandys

Gardening is a wonderful hobby but is fraught with potential safety hazards for the gardener. Master Gardener and Certified Safety Professional Gail Brandys will identify gardening hazards and prevention and how to adapt your work style and tools to garden safely now and in the future as we age.

Types of hazards discussed will be : Heat-related illnesses - symptoms and prevention and Ergonomic principles (golden zone, weight limits, carpal tunnel, neutral hand position) and prevention - ergonomic tools, work practices, garden design concepts. Join us at the nursery for this free class!
