Discover Greylock Spirit of the Mountain Hike

Program is FREE and appropriate for ages 12 and older.

Pre-Registration is required as space may be limited.

Throughout history, mountains have compelled humans to wonder and seek the truth. Join Park Interpreters Mike and Caroline for an enlightening earthly journey as we explore the deeper nature of Mount Greylock. The mountain’s diverse ecological landscape and hidden features have long offered an ideal setting for personal transformation. This moderate 2-mile hike along forested trails and scenic overlooks will offer an immersive opportunity to discover the universal meaning of mountains in our lives. Traditional teachings, folklore and literary connections will be another facet of this shared observational experience. Program time: 3 hours.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Dress for the weather; please wear sturdy shoes, bring a lunch, water, sunscreen, bug spray and trekking poles. Rain cancels.

Meet at the Visitor Center and drive to the designated location. Carpooling is recommended.
