The Labra Brothers

The Labra Brothers, voted “Best Latin Rock Band” at the 2022 Cleveland Music Awards, will take the Hoover Auditorium stage for the first time at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29.

The Labra Brothers have established themselves regionally, not only as the standard within their core genre of Latin funk & soul but also as a dynamic and diverse powerhouse of musical presentation.

With four-part sibling vocal harmonies at the forefront, their versatility has become more evident with each new original studio recording released.

The Labras have gained momentum after opening for their idols, Los Lobos, Tony Succar and Average White Band. In 2023, Cleveland Magazine named them “Best Latin Fusion Band.”

A Labra Brothers is an adrenaline anchor performance that includes high-energy Latin percussion, funky rhythms, sax and smooth, bilingual vocal harmonies.

In February 2023, the Brothers released their Latin Funk single, “Be Cool,” which is accompanied by a music video filmed in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
