Join us for special storytimes with local authors as part of our Summer of Play at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana! Each visit features a live reading and a chance to meet the author.

📘 About the Book:

A fantasy story based on the true story of the beloved Peggy Martin Rose and how it got its name. After Hurricane Katrina destroyed Peggy Martin's garden and home, Peggy found one rose that survived, an unidentified rose that had produced spectacular blooms each spring. The rose became a symbol of hope for New Orleans and the Gulf Coast Region. It was officially named the Peggy Martin Rose, and it continues to be an inspiration today
