Sensory Mornings at the Museum

The Children’s Museum of Acadiana host monthly sensory-friendly mornings. These offerings are exclusive to families of children with ASD (Autism spectrum disorder) or sensory processing disorders. We limit the number of families who can attend, turn down sounds and lights, and provide adaptive equipment such as noise-reducing headphones and weighted vests.

From 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. every second Sunday the Museum will be open to families raising children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental differences so that you can enjoy the CMA in a comfortable environment.

We ask that you continue to register in advance since Program participation is limited to 15 families to keep the Museum from becoming overwhelming to attendees. This is a great time for children and families to play in our hands-on exhibits and enjoy learning in a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment.
